Privacy Policy

Last updated: October 29, 2026

Home Run Reader operates homerunreader.com from the United States. This policy explains how information is handled when you visit the website, leave a comment, contact us, or use our book links.

For privacy questions or requests, email homerunreader@homerunreader.com.

Information You Provide

When you contact us by email or through a contact form, we receive the information you submit. This may include your name, email address, message, and any additional details you choose to provide.

We use this information to respond to questions, investigate corrections, address technical issues, and manage correspondence. Sending a message does not subscribe you to marketing emails.

Please do not send passwords, payment-card details, or other sensitive information through comments or contact messages.

Comments

When you submit a comment, WordPress collects the information entered in the comment form. This may include your name, email address, website address, and comment. It also records technical information, including your IP address and browser information, to support moderation and spam detection.

Your approved comment, display name, and any website link you provide may be visible publicly. Do not include information in a comment that you do not want published.

Where Gravatar profile images are displayed, a hash derived from an email address may be provided to Gravatar to locate an associated image. Gravatar is operated by Automattic. See Automattic’s Privacy Policy.

Technical Information

Our website and hosting services process information needed to deliver pages, maintain security, and troubleshoot problems. This may include IP addresses, browser and device information, requested pages, referring pages, and request timestamps.

Technical information may be recorded in hosting or security logs. The information available and its retention depend on the services and settings used to operate the website.

Cookies and Browser Storage

Cookies and similar browser storage can support website functions and remember preferences.

If you choose to save your details when commenting, WordPress can store your name, email address, and website in cookies so you do not need to enter them again. These cookies generally last approximately one year unless deleted earlier.

When you manually select an Amazon store using our book tables, the website saves that preference in your browser’s local storage. It remains available until you change it, clear the stored data, or your browser removes it.

You can manage cookies and local storage through your browser settings. Clearing them may reset saved preferences.

Country-Based Amazon Links

Our book links can select an Amazon marketplace based on a saved preference or an approximate country determination. This feature does not require access to your device’s precise GPS location.

Amazon Affiliate Links

Home Run Reader participates in the Amazon Associates program.

As an Amazon Associate, I earn from qualifying purchases.

When you follow an Amazon link, Amazon receives information associated with your visit, which may include an affiliate tracking identifier. Amazon may use cookies or similar technologies to attribute qualifying purchases and operate its services.

Amazon’s handling of information is governed by its Privacy Notice.

Purchases are completed on Amazon. Home Run Reader does not process payments for those purchases.

Google Search Console

We use Google Search Console to understand how Home Run Reader appears in Google Search, including information about search queries, pages, clicks, and impressions.

Search Console is different from installing Google Analytics on the website. Our current setup does not include Google Analytics.

We do not currently operate an email newsletter. If that changes, we will update this policy before collecting newsletter subscriptions.

Service Providers and Other Disclosures

Information may be processed by providers that support website hosting, email delivery, contact forms, security, and spam prevention, as needed to provide those services.

We may also disclose information when required by law or when reasonably necessary to investigate abuse, protect the website, or establish or defend legal rights.

Approved comments are publicly accessible. Other websites linked from Home Run Reader have their own privacy practices.

How Long Information Is Kept

Comments and their associated records may remain available until removed, supporting ongoing discussion and moderation.

Contact messages are retained for as long as reasonably needed to respond, resolve the matter, and maintain necessary records.

Technical-log retention depends on our hosting and security settings. Saved browser preferences remain on your device until changed or removed. Some information may be retained longer where needed for legal obligations, security, or dispute resolution.

Your Choices and Requests

You can choose not to submit comments or contact messages, and you can manage cookies and local storage through your browser.

Depending on your location and applicable law, you may have rights to request access to, correction of, or deletion of personal information we hold about you.

Send requests to homerunreader@homerunreader.com. We may need information to verify your identity and locate the relevant records. Some information may need to be retained for legal, administrative, or security reasons.

Security and International Processing

We use reasonable safeguards intended to protect information. No method of internet transmission or electronic storage is completely secure.

Home Run Reader operates from the United States. Service providers may process information in the United States or other countries where they operate.

Children’s Privacy

Home Run Reader is a general-interest website and is not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13.

If you believe a child has provided personal information through the website, contact us so we can investigate and take appropriate action.

Changes to This Policy

We may update this policy when our website, services, or information practices change. The date at the top identifies the latest revision.
