Soccer Books

Kemp’s forthcoming Evolution of Excellence: How Arsenal’s Managers Changed the Club and the Face of Football is announced by Pitch Publishing. Bookseller listings now give October 2027 for the hardcover, rather than the earlier 2026 date. The planned subject extends his soccer reporting into a book about Arsenal’s managerial history.

Other Books

The Expectant Dad's Survival Guide: Everything You Need to Know: Kemp guides prospective fathers through pregnancy, birth, and the first weeks with a new baby. Accounts from parents accompany contributions from midwives, psychologists, and obstetricians, explaining what is happening to both partner and child. The book concentrates on practical participation, from preparation and equipment to the adjustments required after delivery, presenting early fatherhood as a role that can be learned through information and experience. Published in 2010.

The New Dad's Survival Guide: What to Expect in the First Year and Beyond: This continuation follows fathers through the first eighteen months of a child’s life. Kemp discusses bonding, supporting a partner, play, equipment, and the arrangements needed to combine work and childcare. Expert contributions and other fathers’ experiences accompany explanations of everyday tasks, extending the focus beyond birth toward the routines and decisions that gradually shape family life. Published in 2014.

The Good Guys: 50 Heroes Who Changed the World with Kindness: Kemp presents fifty men whose actions illustrate kindness and compassion, with illustrations by Paul Blow. Famous figures from science, public life, entertainment, and sport appear alongside less familiar people who helped others. The collection also includes boys who took practical action, encouraging young readers to consider generosity, friendship, and service as meaningful forms of achievement. Published in 2018.

Sporting figures in the collection include Muhammad Ali, Usain Bolt, and Lionel Messi. Their stories appear alongside James Harrison’s decades of blood donation and Matthew Kaplan’s response to bullying through a school program. The selection deliberately brings famous and less familiar examples together, making the effects of an action more important than the public status of the person performing it.

Dadding It!: Landmark Moments in Your Life as a Father and How to Survive Them: Kemp examines milestones in a child’s life from infancy toward adulthood and the changing responsibilities they create for fathers. Common family situations introduce discussions of practical decisions, emotional support, and unexpected challenges. The book treats parenting as an ongoing process of adjustment, offering fathers ways to remain involved as children’s needs develop beyond the first years covered in his earlier guides. Published in 2020.
