Kevin Garnett is one of the most dominant players in the basketball game. He is also one of the most outspoken people. In his outstanding 21-year NBA career, he promoted trash speech as an art form and never shy away from sharing his views on controversial topics. Before Garnett was inducted into the Basketball Hall of Fame, he published his life and career in KG: A to Z, with the same frankness.

Garnett described the adversity he faced when he grew up in South Carolina, after which he eventually relocated to Chicago, where he became one of America’s most promising talents. He elaborated on his decision to quit college and become the first player to enter the draft directly from high school in two decades.

This started a trend, and the subsequent future superstars such as Kobe Bryant and LeBron James also come behind. He shared stories of playing and confronting Bryant, James, Michael Jordan and other NBA superstars, and recorded his career ups and downs, including winning the championship with the Boston Celtics. He also speaks on topics other than basketball, such as fame, family, racism, spirituality and music.

Garnett’s draft decision is not his only way to change the game forever. As a big man, his ability to play on the perimeter predicts the winning strategy currently generally adopted by the league. He used the same innovative spirit here, organizing the content into an encyclopedia in alphabetical order. If you think Kevin Garnett is exhilarating on the court, inspiring and has no filters, wait until you finish reading his speech on these pages.
